UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Water Council announced that registration for its fall community event is open. The event is for faculty, postdocs, staff and students working on, or with interest in, water and water-related efforts. The event will be held 3–6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and will be split into two sessions. The in-person location will be 189 Energy and Environmental Laboratory. All attendees must register.

The first session, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., will be a hybrid event for both in-person and online attendees. It will feature networking, water community updates and lightning talks.

The second part will be in-person only and will feature a poster session, networking time and tours of some of the Institutes of Energy and the Environment’s labs.

“Learn about ongoing and emerging Penn State water initiatives, share your work, meet old and new colleagues, and find potential collaborators as well as inspiration,” said Andrew Warner, director of the emerging Water Consortium.

There are opportunities for Penn Staters to share their work on all topics related to water. Faculty may present lightning talks during the first session. Students, postdocs, faculty and staff are encouraged to bring posters to the event. Posters may be created for the event, but posters that have been presented at prior events also are welcome.
