MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State Harrisburg is inviting students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and the entire local community to campus to celebrate Penn State pride during We Are Weekend. Events will take place on campus from Friday, Sept. 27, to Sunday, Sept. 29, and will feature activities for everyone, including a free community celebration, Nittany Neighborhood.
Here is what to expect:
For Everyone
- Nittany Neighborhood – Saturday
- Free sports clinics, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – K through eighth grade; basketball, volleyball, and tennis (registration required).
- Free family fun, 1-4 p.m. – music, games, entertainment, food, children's activities, campus tours, athletic events and more.
- Global Ambassadors Showcase the World, 3 p.m. – International students highlight cultures and traditions through songs and folk dances.
- Chancellor's Reception featuring Penn State Berkey Creamery Ice Cream, 4 p.m.
- Spotlight Concert, 4 p.m. – Penn State’s Musical Theatre Program performing jazz, standards and Broadway tunes.
- Community Movie Night, “Aladdin” (2019), 6 p.m.
- Division III Sports - Saturday
- Blue & White Baseball scrimmage, 11 a.m.
- Men's soccer vs. Gallaudet, 1 p.m.
- Women's soccer vs. Gallaudet, 3 p.m.
- Interdenominational service – Sunday, 10:30 a.m.
- Cornhole Tournament – Sunday, 1 p.m.
Especially for Alumni and Penn State Community
- Alumni Awards Ceremony – Friday, 6 p.m.
- TV Tailgate sponsored by PennLive/Patriot News – Penn State Football vs. Maryland on the big screen – Friday, 8 p.m.
- Doctoral Programs Reunion.
- Parents and Family Weekend.
