Pandey to discuss textual analysis approaches in social science research

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — As part of the Penn State Harrisburg Faculty Seminar Series, Sheela Pandey, assistant professor management in the School of Business Administration, will present “Textual Analysis Approaches in Social Science Research” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge on campus.

In the presentation, Pandey will share various textual analysis approaches she has used in her published papers and ongoing research. Textual data that will be highlighted in her presentation include media coverage of foreign CEOs in Japan, mission statements of nonprofit organizations, annual reports of Fortune 500 companies, and U.S. federal regulations.

Pandey’s research interests include strategic management, social entrepreneurship and social enterprise, women’s business ownership, entrepreneurship and social enterprise, survey experiments, and textual analysis.
