Voloj to present photographs from Ethopia

Julian Voloj will present “Beta Israel: Photographs from Ethiopia” as part of the Penn State Harrisburg Center for Holocaust and Jewish Studies speaker series, on Monday, December 5 at noon in the library Morrison Gallery on campus. The gallery opening show will run from December 5, 2016 through May 1, 2017.

Photographer and writer Julian Voloj explores questions of identity in his work. His award winning photography has been published in the Washington Post, Time Out New York, the Jerusalem Post, Tablet Magazine, The Jewish Daily Forward, Rolling Stone Magazine, New York Post, Heeb, Vice Magazine, and many other places. In 2012, the German Consulate in New York showed his ten-year retrospective “Only in New York.” He lives in New York with his wife and two sons.
