Applicant Eligibility and Admission Considerations
- Applicants from all academic backgrounds are welcome, including those outside of exercise and sport science or physical education.
- Research experience is encouraged but not required.
- As part of the mentor-based admissions process, applicants are responsible for identifying a graduate faculty member who is willing to serve as their faculty mentor. To begin, review the faculty directory and explore each faculty member's research interests, expertise, and current projects. We encourage you to contact faculty whose interests align with your academic and research goals to discuss the potential for mentorship prior to applying.
- GRE scores are not required for admission.
- International applicants may be required to demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL or IELTS scores. Please refer to the Graduate School’s English language proficiency requirements for details.
Application Deadline
There is no fixed application deadline. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis through our mentor-based admissions process, with graduate faculty recommending students for admission as they identify prospective mentees.
