According to a new study, Penn State Harrisburg contributed $198 million to the Pennsylvania economy in 2017 and supported, directly and indirectly, 2,437 Pennsylvania jobs.
"I wanted the scholarship recipient to be a future Penn Stater because I have a lot of love and passion for the school I go to," Christian said. "I love to promote Penn State to high school students whenever I get a chance to."
Having seen people around him be unable to afford to attend college is part of what inspired Jordan Christian to create his scholarship. He said that he hopes this scholarship will help motivate young people to strive for more.
The Career Closet at Penn State Harrisburg is open to all students, and offers professional clothing in a range of sizes, styles, and colors, as well as shoes, accessories, ties, padfolios, and work bags.
