Penn State Harrisburg honor students seeking to expand their education through international study are receiving financial support through a newly established fund created in honor of recently retired faculty member Jefferson Hartzler.
Lt. Col. Burt A. Biebuyck will be the guest speaker when Penn State Harrisburg honors the nation's veterans on Thursday, Nov. 8.
The ceremony in advance of next week's official Veterans Day will be at 12:30 p.m. on the plaza in front of the flagpole adjacent to the main entrance of the library. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremonies will move inside to the library's Morrison Gallery.

The Capital Chorale, Penn State Harrisburg's chorus, will present two December public concerts in celebration of the holiday season.
The Chorale, under the direction of Marina Cherepinsky, will perform at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 5 in the Olmsted Auditorium and at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 in the Morrison Gallery of the college library.
Both concerts are free and open to the public with a reception to follow the December 12 program.

Modeled after the popular speed dating concept, the event entitled "Your Raceway to Success" brought students and 16 Penn State Harrisburg alumni face-to-face with a focus on mentoring and careers.
