With the stock market reaching record highs in 2017 and the Dow Jones topping the 21,000 mark for the first time in history, investing in the stock market would seem to be a sure win. 

A group of finance and business majors at Penn State Harrisburg are about to find out. The Student Investment Committee will be taking their academic background in finance and turning it into a real-life experience investing real money in the stock market. 

'Enhancing Health' the topic of upcoming Strategic Planning forum

“Enhancing Health” will be the topic of the last in a series of public forums focused on implementing the University’s long-range Strategic Plan. The forum will take place 1-2:30 p.m. April 7 in the Morrison Gallery in the library at Penn State Harrisburg. Faculty, staff and students from across the University are invited to participate, either in person or via livestream.

Jenni Evans, Professor of Meteorology and Director of the Institute of Cyber Science, was one of the panelists at the “Driving Digital Innovation” Strategic Planning Forum, held Thursday, March 30, at Penn State Behrend. The forum included an overview of the implementation process for the Strategic Plan and outlined ideas and initiatives under consideration that relate to "Driving Digital Innovation."

Jon Landau, executive vice president of Twentieth Century Fox and producer of the two highest grossing movies of all-time, “Avatar” and “Titanic,” will visit Penn State Harrisburg as a part of the college’s Student Affairs’ Technology Series on Thursday, April 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Capital Union Building Student Center on campus.
