The Penn State Harrisburg team, composed of students and faculty from the college and University Park, will begin construction this summer on a 1080-square-foot, single-story detached house with two bedrooms. The home will be accessible with an “aging-in-place” concept for independent living during retirement.
The Teacher Education program facilitates the development of professional educators who transform lives and communities through inspired and innovative teaching, learning, and scholarship. Courses of study offered include undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as numerous programs to prepare you for PA certification.
The Accounting program helps students prepare for careers in auditing and public accounting, industrial and managerial accounting, and in governmental and not-for-profit accounting. Students who complete the prescribed courses and earn the B.S. degree will satisfy the academic requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
The English major provides students the opportunity to study literature in an interdisciplinary context where the relationships among literature and art, history, music, philosophy, media, and American Studies can be investigated. The major offers courses in American, British, and world literatures, emphasizing their cultural and historical contexts, as well as teaching students to interpret them from a variety of critical perspectives.
