Penn State Harrisburg broadened access to and attracted a diverse field of more than 130 student participants to their April programming competition by incorporating ChatGPT and other generative artificial intelligence systems.
Amma Johnson has been named director of the Harrisburg LaunchBox powered by Penn State, which provides programming that supports innovative and entrepreneurial skill building for Penn State Harrisburg students, staff and faculty and the greater South Central Pennsylvania community.
Four students and one faculty member were inducted this spring into Penn State Harrisburg’s chapter of Mu Kappa Tau, a national honor society that recognizes top students majoring in marketing.
Seventeen students from Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Business Administration were recently inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society that recognizes business excellence.
Penn State Harrisburg has named six graduates to represent each academic school and graduate studies as student marshals for the spring 2023 commencement ceremony. The graduates will bear the banners representing each academic school and, together with the faculty marshals, lead the graduating students during the commencement processional.
In its first full year as a recognized student organization, Penn State Harrisburg’s chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate competed at the State Leadership Conference, where several students advanced to the national competition.
Roderick Lee, associate professor of information systems in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Business Administration, was awarded a SPEAK (Specialized Presentations to Enhance Awareness and Knowledge) seed grant from the Office of Research and Outreach at Penn State Harrisburg and an Interaction Grant from Penn State’s Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence to support his project.
