Theatre Minor:

The Penn State Harrisburg theatre minor is a great way to explore your theatre interests, and complements a variety of majors. 

Production Experience:

The Penn State Harrisburg School of Humanities offers two mainstage productions per school year. Students can be directly involved in the fall play or the spring musical. Theatre production experience includes acting, design, choreography, stage management, backstage crew, or ushering. Students have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art equipment in the new 365-seat Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre, located in the Student Enrichment Center. Limited paid positions are available.

Students have the opportunity to be a part of comedic, dramatic, classic, and contemporary shows. Past productions include Proof, Death of a Salesman, Avenue Q, and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.

Theatre Student Club:

Capital Players Theatre Club is a student organization that meets regularly and plans fun activities based on the club’s shared interest of theatre.

  • Student-directed theatre/musical theatre productions
  • Talent shows, cabarets
  • Opportunities to gain theatre experience while building friendships
