Penn State Harrisburg Endowed Funds and Select Annual Scholarships

  • H.B. Alexander Foundation, Inc. Penn State Harrisburg Engineering Scholarship (annually funded)
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding juniors majoring in an engineering discipline at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses, and, to the extent permitted by law, whose ethnic, cultural and/or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body.

  • Amphenol Intercon Systems, Inc., Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

  • John A. Arnold Memorial Endowed Graduate Entrepreneur Scholarship
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg.

  • Nancy and Irwin Aronson Holocaust Study Center Program Fund
    To enrich Penn State Harrisburg by providing monies for the Holocaust Study Center for Central Pennsylvania located at Penn State Harrisburg for intensive study by students and faculty, support of programs and classes in Holocaust education or Holocaust studies, related exhibits, lectures, field trips, national and international study tours, and student awards.

  • Barger Fund for Penn State Harrisburg in Memory of Jonathan P. Barger
    The purpose of this endowment shall be to enrich Penn State Harrisburg by providing monies for charitable purposes to be used at the discretion of the Chancellor of Penn State Harrisburg

  • Frank J. Bennar Memorial Scholarship for Penn State Harrisburg
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

  • Quentin Berg Chair
    To enhance the University’s commitment to the Commonwealth by providing a distinguished faculty member in the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Penn State Harrisburg the opportunity to continue and further scholarly excellence through contributions to instruction, research, and public service.

  • Bertha and Boris Blai Sculpture Garden Endowment
    To provide income for the maintenance and development of and future acquisitions for the Bertha and Boris Blai Sculpture Garden at Penn State Harrisburg.

  • Blue Sky Women’s Learned Society Award for Female Graduate Students in Adult Education (annually funded)
    To offer support to women as learners as a means to foster their wisdom, intuition, and nurturance of self during their journey within the Adult Education doctoral program at Penn State Harrisburg.

  • Melvin Blumberg Award for Excellence
    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by a rising senior undergraduate student enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who is majoring in a Business program.

  • Penn State Harrisburg Board of Advisers Endowed Scholarship
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

  • Penn State Harrisburg Board of Advisers Graduate Fellowship
    To recognize and support outstanding graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary graduate school expenses.

  • Matthew D. Brightbill Memorial Scholarship
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students majoring in Construction Management within the Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology program at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

  • John J. Brinjac Athletic Excellence Fund 
    The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide monies for support of intercollegiate programs at Penn State Harrisburg.

  • John J. Brinjac Memorial Endowed Scholarship
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in a baccalaureate program at Penn State Harrisburg with a major in any engineering discipline, with the exception of engineering technology. This program must be accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

  • Robert J. Brown Award for Excellence in Finance
    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by a rising senior undergraduate student enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who is majoring in Finance.

  • Stephen C. Burkholder Athletic Excellence Fund 
    The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide monies for support of intercollegiate athletic programs at Penn State Harrisburg.

  • Stephen C. Burkholder Family Trustee Scholarship 
    The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

  • Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science Program Fund (CAIMS)
    To enrich Penn State Harrisburg by providing monies for the operational and administrative functions related to the Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science.

  • Capital Blue Cross Health Education Fund
    To support and enhance the University Libraries by providing monies for the purchase of health-related educational materials for the Penn State Harrisburg Library.

  • Capital Blue Cross Information Sciences and Technology Scholarship (annually funded)
    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in the baccalaureate program within the College of Information Sciences and Technology and attending Penn State Harrisburg.

    To provide support monies to benefit the Penn State Harrisburg faculty, with particular emphasis on faculty development and enhancement of the quality and character of instruction, research, and public service.

  • Endowment for the Center for Pennsylvania Culture Studies
    To enrich Penn State Harrisburg by providing monies for the study, appreciation, and preservation of Pennsylvania and middle Atlantic cultures through the support of projects and programs in the areas of folklore, folk life, ethnography, history, and culture.

    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate or graduate student who is enrolled in environmental programs at Penn State Harrisburg who demonstrates good citizenship and exceptional promise to the college and local community as reflected in their activities in campus clubs, organizations, or environmental associations.

  • Civil Engineering Technology Endowment
    To enrich the Civil Engineering Technology Program, Penn State Harrisburg School of Science, Engineering & Technology, The Pennsylvania State University, by providing monies for CET faculty and students to attend conferences and workshops pertinent to their academic discipline.

    To enrich Penn State Harrisburg, by providing monies for the continued growth and enrichment of the environment and Environmental Engineering programs at Penn State Harrisburg.

    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students of junior or senior academic standing who are majoring in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology at Penn State Harrisburg who have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 who demonstrate leadership skills or  contribute to the betterment of their field of study or to their fellow students.

    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate and undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who are majoring in a business program.

    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by a senior undergraduate student who is majoring in Accounting at Penn State Harrisburg.

    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by undergraduate and graduate students majoring or planning to major in an engineering or environmental science program at Penn State Harrisburg, who have demonstrated promise for future contributions in their field of study.

  • The Hershey Company Fund for Faculty Development
    To enrich and strengthen the Master of Business Administration program at Penn State Harrisburg by providing support monies to faculty whose expertise are in marketing, information systems management, and the food industry.

    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by graduate students preparing for a career in health administration in the graduate programs in Health Administration or Public Administration in the School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg.

    To support health-related academic programs at Penn State Harrisburg and enhance University Libraries collections by providing monies for the purchase of health-related educational materials for the Penn State Harrisburg Library.

    The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student majoring in Management with a concentration in Supply Chain Management at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0.

    To provide financial assistance to promising full-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding full-time or part-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the Communications major in the School of Humanities at Penn State Harrisburg and who plan to pursue a career in the Communications field.

  • Penn National Insurance Award of Excellence in Management
    To honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is a rising senior at Penn State Harrisburg, who is seeking a degree in Management, who has achieved the highest grade-point average of students in the 6th or 7th semester (or equivalent) and who demonstrates good citizenship as reflected in their membership in campus clubs and/or organizations.

  • Penn State Alumni Association Trustee Scholarship for Penn State Harrisburg 
    The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

    To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled in American Studies at Penn State Harrisburg who are either outstanding incoming students to the program or who are continuing graduate students enrolled in American Studies, making good progress toward the completion of the program, who have a 3.5 minimum grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale).
