My Penn State Harrisburg internship experience in the equine department of Leg Up farm, changed and highlighted my expectations in psychology. The connections that I made with the children and all that they taught me is reaffirming that working within a positive structure to treat the whole being yields more than what seems possible. It became apparent that I can be a part of every social being, with their diverse motives and their diverse intentions, making and transforming the world which they live in. I am more sure than I ever have been that I will pursue community psychology. As I have gained a better understanding of my skill set and where those skills can take me.
