Earn two degrees in five years!
This accelerated degree program combines the B.S in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State Harrisburg with the Master of Public Health offered at Penn State College of Medicine, located less than 10 miles from campus in Hershey, Pa. This Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate (IUG) degree program offers a select group of high-achieving students the opportunity to earn both degrees in just five years, through a streamlined, continuous course of study, and gain a comprehensive education in public health.
Public health from two perspectives
The two fields studied in this program both focus on improving community health, but from different perspectives. Biobehavioral health combines biological, behavioral, and environmental factors to address individual and community health, preparing you to work with diverse groups and educate the public on health concerns, whereas public health focuses on protecting the health of entire populations through data analysis, public policy, and research and monitoring of public health issues.
