Electrical engineering students take honors in regional competition

Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology; Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology; and Computer Science students from Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering, and Technology, participated at the annual Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) Region 2 Student Activities Conference, hosted by The University of Pittsburgh on April 6 through 8. Twenty-five colleges and universities from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia competed in eleven categories.

Taking third place honors for Penn State Harrisburg in the Physics Competition were Baha Bachnak, John Fox, Cullen Laygo, and Oliver Martin.

Other Penn State Harrisburg participants in the competitions were Sami Abdelmalak, Michael Agaruwa, Ever Barillas, Samuel Bernstein, Alejandro Davila, Aaron Doriani, Michelle Figueroa, Eduardo Gomez, Jonathan Good, Andrew Greene, Kriti Gupta, Robert Hergan, Nicholas Lebish, Jiawen Lu, Ira Matthews, Joey Morrison, Sajad Chandra Pokharel, Nicholas Salinas, Zachary Snyder, Brennen Trussel, Idalis Velez, Brandon Wong, and Jason Zhang.
