2025 Program Information
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are crucial fields for driving innovation and competitiveness. STEM jobs show the highest expectation for growth: 17 percent compared to 10 percent for jobs overall. It is currently estimated that there are as many as 2.4 million unfilled STEM jobs in the United States.
Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering and Technology announces an exciting two-week STEM Summer Enrichment Program for local high school students who are accepted into the program.
This workshop is designed to improve students’ knowledge through hands-on activities in a variety of STEM areas including mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
High school students currently in the 10th and 11th grades are invited to apply.
Activities and benefits to participants:
- Students will participate in field trips, demonstrations, experiments, projects, and learn how to create scientific presentations.
- Students will receive training materials and more!
