The Essentials of Computer Organization and Architecture - Third Edition

The third edition of The Essentials of Computer Organization and Architecture (Jones & Bartlett Learning, LLC), co-authored by Penn State Harrisburg Associate Professor of Computer Science Dr. Linda Null and Instructor in Computer Science Julia Lobur has won the Text and Academic Authors Association (TAA) 2013 “Texty” Textbook Excellence Award for computer science and engineering. The award will be presented at the TAA 26th Annual Conference Awards Luncheon in June.

The Penn State Harrisburg chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE’s) Steel Bridge Team will unveil at noon its first-ever 1/10 scale bridge as part of the college’s annual Earth Day Celebration on Thursday, April 18 on the Vartan Plaza from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The events are free and open to the public.

Media-imposed perceptions of beauty, environmental technologies, sleep and behavioral disorders, and English literature are among the broad array of topics that eight Penn State Harrisburg Honors Program students will discuss during the college’s spring 2013 thesis presentations, Thursday, April 18, 11:45 a.m.-1:20 p.m. in W-132 Olmsted and Friday, April 19, 1:00-2:30 p.m. in W-107 Olmsted.
