Global Ambassador Awards

The Global Ambassador Program honors three outstanding Global Ambassadors each semester with the following awards:

  • Outstanding Leader
  • Diversity Award
  • Outstanding Community Service

Penn State Harrisburg faculty and staff can submit nominations online; the form will be active below during the nomination period. Only one student will be selected as the recipient for each category and a student can only be nominated for one award by each nominator.

Criteria for Nomination

  • Must be a current Global Ambassador
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Demonstrates leadership by
    • participating in various on-campus and off-campus activities
    • creating opportunities for engagement and involvement
    • actively building relationships with faculty, staff and fellow students
  • Contributes to the overall excellence of Penn State Harrisburg
  • Articulates a positive sense of direction
  • Thinks critically and creatively
Nominator Information
Outstanding Leader
Award recipients are selected based on breadth and depth of involvement and leadership in co-curricular activities; service in the community; involvement in professional, academic, and leadership development experiences; and the overall effect on campus life and learning for students.
Diversity Award
Award recipients have made significant accomplishments in and efforts toward promoting the principles of academic excellence and cultural diversity on campus.
Outstanding Community Service
Nominees have maintained academic excellence while committing their time and energy to making a difference by volunteering in the community.
