Fourteen graduate students received the Penn State Alumni Association Dissertation Award and Distinguished Doctoral Scholar Medal in recognition of their outstanding professional accomplishments and achievements in scholarly research in any of the disciplinary areas of arts and humanities; social sciences; physical and computational sciences; life and health sciences; and engineering.
Voting begins this week for the election to determine if Penn State graduate students want to unionize. Nick Jones, Penn State’s executive vice president and provost, shares his thoughts on the importance of voting for all eligible graduate students.
To continue to provide students with accurate information, answers to commonly asked questions submitted during a recent Town Hall on graduate student unionization are now available online. Penn State Provost Nick Jones and Dean of the Graduate School Regina Vasilatos-Younken hosted the event to answer questions on potential unionization and the upcoming election, which will take place over six days in April at various campus locations.
