Penn State Harrisburg and Thaddeus Stevens College expand articulation agreement

LANCASTER, Pa. — Thaddeus Stevens College, a two-year trade and technology-focused college, has recently expanded its articulation agreement with Penn State Harrisburg. Students completing their studies at Thaddeus Stevens College can transfer a variety of general education credits, including science, English, history, math, and social studies, toward receiving a bachelor of science degree in human development and family studies from Penn State Harrisburg.

“Penn State Harrisburg has a history of empowering those seeking an education to take the next steps,” said Penn State Harrisburg Chancellor and Dean David Callejo Pérez. “This partnership continues to expand a way for students to take their trade, technical, or business-focused education from Thaddeus Stevens College and expand into new directions.”

Thaddeus Stevens College is a two-year, accredited technical college that prepares students for skilled employment in a diverse, ever-changing workforce. Founded in 1905 with 15 students, Thaddeus Stevens College has grown to more than 1,400 students and 24 technical programs.

“It's part of Thaddeus Stevens College’s mission to open doorways to education for underprivileged or underserved populations, and that pathway creation is focused not only on enrolling students,” said Thaddeus Stevens College President Pedro Rivera, II. “The College partners with other organizations and higher education institutions to support many different pathways to education, including continuing on to more advanced education after graduating from Thaddeus Stevens College.”

Students must earn a final cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 while at Thaddeus Stevens College to satisfy Penn State Harrisburg admissions requirements. The agreement defines admission criteria and processes, course equivalencies, and academic advising services to support students in their transition from Thaddeus Stevens College to Penn State Harrisburg.

Thaddeus Stevens College students who wish to attend Penn State Harrisburg must complete the admissions process, including an undergraduate admissions application and submission of all official transcripts. The admissions application fee will be waived.
