MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Representatives from Penn State Harrisburg and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology this week celebrated the signing of a new articulation agreement between the two institutions. The agreement allows a smooth transition for students who complete two of Thaddeus Stevens College’s programs to enroll in a four-year degree in two of Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering and Technology bachelor programs.
Thaddeus Stevens College is a two-year, accredited technical college that prepares students for skilled employment in a diverse, ever-changing workforce. Founded in 1905 with 15 students, Thaddeus Stevens College has grown to more than 1,400 students and 24 technical programs.
Penn State Harrisburg, located in Middletown, offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and enrolls more than 4,600 students.
“Our mission is to open doors to higher education for students who might not otherwise have that available to them,” said Pedro Rivera, president of Thaddeus Stevens College. “One of the ways we fulfill that mission is by partnering with other institutions throughout Pennsylvania, providing a direct pathway to continued education and a career in a high-demand field with family-thriving wages.”

This agreement provides a pathway for students who have successfully completed an associate degree in electrical engineering technology or mechanical engineering technology at Thaddeus Stevens College to transition to a baccalaureate degree program in electrical engineering technology or mechanical engineering technology at Penn State Harrisburg.
Students must earn a final cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 while at Thaddeus Stevens College to satisfy Penn State Harrisburg admissions requirements. The agreement defines admission criteria and processes, course equivalencies, and academic advising services to support students in their transition from Thaddeus Stevens College to Penn State Harrisburg.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology,” said David Callejo Pérez, interim chancellor at Penn State Harrisburg. “This new partnership provides another pathway for students in the region to realize their goals of a baccalaureate degree and possibly choose to continue on to a master’s program as well. We look forward to welcoming Thaddeus Stevens students to Penn State Harrisburg.”
Thaddeus Stevens College students who wish to attend Penn State Harrisburg must complete the admissions process, including an undergraduate admissions application and submission of all official transcripts. The admissions application fee will be waived.
