MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Faculty in Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Humanities and the Department of Otolaryngology, Head-Neck Surgery at the Penn State Hershey College of Medicine have established a Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Advisory Board to advise the CSD program at Penn State Harrisburg and contribute to needs in the community for awareness of speech-language pathology, audiology, and autism services.
The board, which will hold its first joint meeting in the spring of 2022 and meet with faculty and students in CSD at Penn State Harrisburg, was established by Russell Kirkscey, assistant professor of English and technical and professional writing; Jeffrey Beck, director of Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Humanities; and three partners from Penn State’s College of Medicine and Penn State Health: Dr. David Goldenberg, chair of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery; Marie Kurtz, manager of speech language pathology; and Jill McClelland, manager of audiology.

- Sheri Brunelli, manager of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Penn Medicine/Lancaster General
- Erin Buckwalter, speech/language pathologist III at Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health and vice president of the Pennsylvania Speech Hearing Association
- Sandra Byrnes, speech-language pathologist at Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health
- Erin Cover, speech language therapist at Lower Dauphin High School
- Erin Edwards, clinical coordinator (Autism Life) in the Department of Psychiatry at Penn State College of Medicine/Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center
