Awards ceremony recognizes faculty and staff

Penn State Harrisburg recognized outstanding employee contributions at the 2018 Faculty and Staff Recognition Program on March 29. Nominated by the college community and selected by various award committees, several faculty and staff members received awards.

Award recipients included:

Gina M. Brelsford (Hummelstown, PA), associate professor of psychology, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education – Excellence in Research and Scholarly Activity Award

Weston Kensinger (Hummelstown, PA), assistant teaching professor of health education, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education – Excellence in Teaching Award

Amy J. Sauertieg (Harrisburg, PA), lecturer in communications and public relations, School of Humanities – Excellence in Advising Award

Rhoda Joseph (Harrisburg, PA), associate professor of information systems, School of Business Administration – Faculty Service Award

Matthew Wilson (Bainbridge, PA), professor of English and humanities, School of Humanities – Faculty Service Award

Jennifer J. Shultz (Elizabethtown, PA), data services manager – Staff Service Award

Linda O. Rhen (Camp Hill, PA), assistant teaching professor of special education, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education – Faculty Diversity Award

Marcellus Taylor (Harrisburg, PA), assistant director of student activities and fraternity/sorority life – Staff Diversity Award

Maria Turkson (Hummelstown, PA), assistant teaching professor of psychology, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education – Kathryn Towns Women’s History Month Award
