Penn State Harrisburg to celebrate Martin Luther King Day with 20th annual play

The Penn State Harrisburg School of Humanities has partnered with PenOwl Productions to present the 20th annual Martin Luther King day play, which emphasizes the college’s commitment to King’s legacy of diversity and inclusion. Performances will be held on Monday, January 15 at noon and Tuesday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m. in the Student Center, Capital Union Building on campus. This year’s play is titled “Pulling Strings.”

“Pulling Strings” begins in 1990 with a group of community folk discussing the importance of telling the factual stories of African-American history while preparing for a Martin Luther King Day event. What they discover is both empowering and uplifting. To get to the truth, they might just have to pull a few strings.

This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are suggested, visit: mlk20thannualproduction.eventbrite.com
