Irving and Mildred Hand State, Urban and Regional Affairs Award

Purpose:

The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize achievement by a graduate student who is enrolled in Penn State Harrisburg who has displayed interest and excellence in the study of state, regional, and local affairs.

Eligibility:

Consideration for this award shall be given to all part-time and full-time graduate students enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved excellence in the study of state, regional, and local affairs and are from Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, or York Counties in Pennsylvania. Particular consideration shall be directed to those students whose focus of study has been and is state, regional, and community planning implementation.

Term:

The fellowship will include a tuition scholarship. The number and amount of the awards are based on the amount of the available funds. This scholarship is applicable for the upcoming Fall 2019 - Spring 2020 academic year only. Scholarships are not transferable to other semesters. Any remaining funds revert back to the scholarship fund. Funding is applied directly to the awardee's 2019-20 PSU tuition account.
