Recognizing Academic Achievement in Health Administration

Faculty Advisor: Elizabeth Jane Beckett-Camarata, Ph.D.

The Master of Health Administration program and the Bachelor of Science in Health Policy Administration at Penn State Harrisburg sponsor a chapter of the National Healthcare Honor Society – Upsilon Phi Delta Society.  We are very pleased to offer this opportunity for membership to the premier honor society for health administration students.  The society is administered by the Association of University Programs in Health administration (AUPHA). Upsilon Phi Delta is derived from the Greek words of health, service and leader.

The organization was formed in 1965 to further the profession of health administration and the professional competence and dedication of its members.

To encourage and maintain our national goals, the PSU Harrisburg chapter of Upsilon Phi Delta will uphold strict criteria for membership.  Membership at the Penn State Harrisburg chapter is by invitation only and based on academic excellence and upholding high professional standards and ethics.

If selected to be a member you as an inductee will be provided an Upsilon Phi Delta certificate, honor cord, and a lapel pin that should be worn during graduation to distinguish your achievements and membership in a highly prestigious honor society.

To apply for membership, you will need to meet the following criteria:

Graduate MHA Students must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher and have completed 18 credits of the MHA program at PSU Harrisburg.

Undergraduate HPA students must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher and completed at least 18 hours of coursework after officially declaring the Health Policy Administration major.

The induction ceremony is held annually at the Penn State Harrisburg Campus.
