General Provisions
- All provisions of the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are in effect at the Penn State Harrisburg campus.
- Those provisions set forth in the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Chapter 35, Subchapter A, titled “Operations of Pedalcycle,” will govern the operation of bicycles on campus property.
- All Penn State Harrisburg students, staff, faculty, and facility users must register their vehicles and display a current parking permit to park on campus.
- Permits issued by the Vehicle Registration Office verify that the operator of the vehicle has registered their vehicle and paid the appropriate fees.
Visitors
- Visitors to Penn State Harrisburg campus may park in a designated visitor’s space for the allotted time period.
- Students, staff, faculty, and facility users are not allowed to park in these spaces.
ADA Accessible Parking
- ADA accessible parking is available at each campus building. State-issued ADA license plates, placards, etc., will be honored and allowed to park in ADA accessible spaces at Penn State Harrisburg; however, these vehicles must be registered with the Vehicle Registration Office and pay the appropriate fees.
- A request to temporarily utilize ADA accessible spaces must be submitted with a doctor’s recommendation to the Vehicle Registration Office. When approval is granted, vehicles may park in any ADA accessible parking space until the temporary permit expires.
Special Events
- Parking arrangements will be made for special events and will be shared by the hosting department prior to the event.
- All others must obtain a daily parking pass.
Vendors
Vehicles marked with a company logo, parked while conducting business, are not required to be registered.
Students Visiting University Park
Student parking permits from other Penn State campuses are not valid for parking at University Park. Refer to the University Park Visitor Parking webpage for information on hourly, daily, and event parking options at University Park.
