Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team won the 2024 United East Championship over St. Mary's College of Maryland Nov. 9.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team won the 2024 United East Championship in a double-overtime draw that ended with a 4-3 penalty kick victory over St. Mary's College of Maryland on Nov. 9.

Goalkeeper Alexis Valenta was named the United East Tournament most valuable player (MVP).

The conference championship is the third in program history, with prior conference titles won in 2021 and 2009.

With the win, Penn State Harrisburg earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history. The team will play William Smith College in Geneva, New York on Saturday in the first round of the Division III tournament. Games will be streamed at NCAA.com.
