From WPSU's "Live Conversations": Gambling is a growing business in Pennsylvania. Along with traditional casinos and online gaming are mini-casinos, including one proposed for State College. While the industry is generating record-breaking revenues, there are questions about mental health and safety.
The sociology major provides an opportunity for students to explore social structure, interaction, and change, addressing topics such as culture, race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, social class, inequality, urban life, globalization, environmental change, and political conflict.

The program offers unique features that allow students to customize their programs of study.
