The Global Engagement Office focuses on strengthening Penn State Harrisburg's global presence and preparing students for success in an interconnected world. Our office supports international students and scholars, providing pathways from admission to employment, while fostering international partnerships that create opportunities for faculty and students. Penn State Harrisburg Global also offers education abroad programs to broaden students' global perspectives, hosts international delegations, and designs intercultural programming to benefit the campus and surrounding community.

International Students

The International Students Office is a vital part of Global Engagement and is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of students from other countries and cultures, fostering diversity, and promoting cultural explorations on campus.

Global Engagement also works closely with Penn State Global on essential processes for international students, including Visa processing, employment within the U.S., tax preparation, and travel letters.

Study Abroad

Study abroad programs are opportunities to build global skills and perspectives through immersive, experiential learning abroad. You'll enhance your education and learn the skills you need to stand out in your future career.

Penn State offers over 350 education abroad programs, ranging from just a few days up to an entire year, and there are programs with coursework in English for all majors all over the world. These programs award Penn State credit, so it's possible for education abroad programs to fit easily into your degree plan.

Partner Institutions

Penn State Harrisburg continues to advance global academic collaboration with new and renewed international partnerships with educational institutions worldwide. Since 2023, the college has forged several partnerships showcasing its commitment to fostering global connections and enriching educational opportunities for students and research collaboration for faculty. These agreements extend the college’s record number of partnerships established in recent academic years, totaling 15 agreements with 17 universities in Asia, Europe and South America.
