Purpose:
The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who are majoring in or planning to major in a degree program focused in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (aka STEM).

Eligibility:
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who are majoring in or planning to major in a degree program focused in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (aka STEM). From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, first preference shall be given to students whose gender contributes to the diversity of the student body. If no students meet the first preference in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the first preference, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference. The University may modify or disregard any selection criteria if determined to be contrary to law or then existing University policy. Scholarships may be awarded to eligible recipients regardless of enrollment status so long as the recipient intends to continue his/her education at Penn State Harrisburg.
