Eligibility:
Consideration for this award shall be given to undergraduate juniors and seniors who are majoring in either Elementary Education with a 4-8 Mathematics option and/or Mathematical Sciences with a Secondary Mathematics option, or successor academic programs, at Penn State Harrisburg, who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) and who exhibit a passion for teaching Mathematics and who express a commitment to teaching in an urban setting. Each award shall be for one academic year. Further extraordinary accomplishments by a recipient may enable that recipient to be again considered for this award. Awards may be awarded to students regardless of enrollment status so long as the recipient is in good academic standing and intends to continue his/her education at Penn State Harrisburg. The University may modify or disregard any selection criteria if determined to be contrary to law or then existing University policy.
