
Biography
Bimal Ghimire, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at IOE. Dr. Ghimire specializes in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and wireless networking, focusing on applications in cyber-physical systems, IoT, and multi-domain operations. His research interests broadly fall within cybersecurity, encompassing the interdisciplinary area of IoT and cyber-physical systems.
He primarily focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and other technologies to enhance the performance and security of cyber-physical systems and the Internet of Things (IoT). Dr. Ghimire has published several articles in prestigious journals and conferences, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, the IEEE Global Communications Conference, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, and others. He has mentored several undergraduate and graduate students in their projects and research.
Dr. Ghimire completed a Ph.D. in computer science focusing on the topic "Secure and Efficient Internet of Vehicles for Intelligent Transportation Systems." This research aimed to enhance the security and performance of vehicular networks, contributing to the development of smarter and safer transportation infrastructure.
