Greg and Merle Crawford
Greg and Merle are longtime supporters of Penn State Harrisburg. Greg served the college from 1993-2017, including over 10 years as the Director of the Library. He also served as Interim Director of the School of Humanities just prior to his retirement in 2017. The Crawfords’ generosity includes support for the Penn State Harrisburg Library, School of Humanities, Ansary Student Emergency Assistance Fund, and establishment of the Crawford International Study Program Fund. Their passion is providing travel support for students who demonstrate financial need to participate in international study tours.
Jason and Tandi Gray
Residents of Colchester, Vermont, Jason and his wife, Tandi began supporting Penn State Harrisburg’s Track & Field Program in 2023. The Gray family have two children at Penn State Harrisburg, their daughter Jacalyn, and son Keegan, who is a member of the Track & Field team. In 2024, Jason and Tandi expanded their support by endowing the Gray Family Scholarship, designed to support academically motivated students, who present the greatest financial need.
John O'Keefe
John received his associate’s degree in Drafting Design Technology from Penn State York in 1969 and his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering Technology from Penn State Harrisburg in 1971. John is a longtime supporter of both campuses. His experiences and appreciation for his education led him to establish the O’Keefe Fund for Engineering at each campus in 2024. Each fund provides flexible resources to support engineering education, something John is passionate about supporting.
G.R. & Grace Sponaugle Charitable Foundation
The Sponaugle Family have been long-time supporters of Penn State Health and the College of Medicine. Inspired by the care of the dedicated nurses at the Hershey Medical Center, the Foundation established the Sponaugle Family Nursing Scholarship at Penn State Harrisburg in 2024. Their investment is supporting future nurses who will go on to provide compassionate care in our communities.
Rotary Veterans Initiative (RVI)
The Rotary Veterans Initiative, also known as RVI, was established by the Carlisle and Mechanicsburg North Rotary Clubs. Their mission is to help veterans succeed by supporting their education, training, and job search opportunities.
Since 2017, RVI has generously supported student veterans at the college through the Rotary Veterans Initiative College Education Fund, which provides scholarships and textbook stipends, the Douglas W. Pollock Center for Addictions Research and Outreach, and the Veterans Business Bootcamp put on by Harrisburg LaunchBox.
