Mr. Morton Spector

Previous (selected) Board Positions: Dauphin County Library System, Pinnacle Health, United Way of the Capitol Region, Capital Region Goals 2000 Mr. Spector is widely honored and deeply committed to the betterment of the Capital Region.

Dr. Judith T. Witmer, CAIMS Director

Present: Consulting, Research, and Writing Services. Previous: Contractor, PA Department of Education; Assistant to the Superintendent, Lower Dauphin S.D; Adjunct Professor, Temple University; Author of 22 published non-fiction & professional books; Creator of 100+ Grant Proposals (75% funded); Consultant/Writer for Key Confidential Reports at Milton Hershey Schools; Fundraising Chair for Alexander Library and Lower Dauphin S.D. Field House.

Mort Spector and Judith Witmer were members of the Goal 4 Initiative of the “Regional Goals 2000” and were founding board members of CAIMS, then known as the Math-Science Alliance.

Dr. Steven P. Messner

Present: Private Consulting. Previous: President, Carson Long Military Academy; Superintendent of Newport, Susquenita, and Shamokin School Districts; Director of Capital Beginnings for the Foundation for Enhancing Communities; Advisor to former Mayor Steven Reed; Executive Director of Harrisburg Regional America’s Promise; Chair, Mayor Reed’s Commission on Literacy, among others. Dr. Messner is well-known for innovative initiatives.

Present: Community Philanthropist and Volunteer; Previous/Present: Board Chair of Harrisburg Symphony; Board Member of Susquehanna Art Museum, Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, United Cerebral Palsy of Central PA, United Way of the Capital Region, Harrisburg Area Community College Foundation, State System of Higher Education Foundation; Chair of Goodwill Foundation and Girl Scouts of America.)
