Vanshika Agarwal, Amin Elmubarak Ali, Michaela Anderson, Nicholas Boyer, Brilliant Fane, Noah Dosmas Mckenzy, Elaaf Khan, Samuel Krauter, Micah Krauter, Jacob Nickalls, Ryan Sprenkle, Samantha Wellman, Irenitemi Oluwateniola Famadewa, and Mateo Teshea Stevens represented the Eta Lambda chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE), the national professional fraternity for marketing, sales, and management students, at the fraternity’s national sales competition in San Diego, California.

The convention brings together students and alumni from over 50 PSE chapters throughout the U.S., and features multiple competitions assessing student skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and business-to-business sales. The Penn State Harrisburg team entered the case study competition, in which they had one day to review a case developed by a corporate sponsor, generate a solution to the problem described in the case, and present their solution to a panel of judges.

Five students competed in the National ProAm Sales competition.  The PSE Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon® is a year-long sales competition held at the fraternity’s fall regional conferences and the annual the PSE National Education Foundation National Sales and Marketing Convention. Participating from Penn State Harrisburg were Amin Ali, Elaaf Khan, Ryan Sprenkle, and Samantha Wellman, and from Penn State Berks, Micah Krauter.

Vanshika Agarwal and Elaaf Khan also received The Future Leaders award, covering the convention registration (a $295 value) and a $100 travel stipend.  Nicholas Boyer and Brilliant Fane received travel scholarships from Mutual of Omaha to attend the convention.

The PSE national convention also features guest speakers and provides students with opportunities to improve themselves and their chapter. Jeff Seeley, CEO of Carew International, addressed attendees this year to share advice on how to find success in one’s life and career. Students also have opportunities to network with members of other chapters and share information on best practices, chapter operations, chapter projects, and philanthropic initiatives. Chapters and members also are recognized for personal and chapter excellence. Scholarships are awarded to members who continually perform above chapter and academic standards.
