Golf Tournament raises over $90,000 for Penn State Harrisburg athletics

On May 22, more than 200 Penn State Harrisburg alumni, parents, and friends participated in the seventh annual Penn State Harrisburg Golf Tournament, presented by Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster, LTD. Participants enjoyed a round of golf while interacting with student-athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators.

Proceeds from the tournament totaled $90,279.43. Every dollar raised is used to provide support to Penn State Harrisburg’s intercollegiate athletic programs, providing opportunities for student-athletes to reach the highest levels of individual and team achievement.

This year’s event was combined with the 2016 tournament, which was postponed due to inclement weather. The tournament was held at Colonial Golf and Tennis Club in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, spanning two courses. With the combined tournaments, a record number of sponsors and golfers supported Penn State Harrisburg’s intercollegiate teams and student-athletes.

Many thanks to all of the sponsors and golfers who made this year’s tournament a success. Your generosity positively impacts the educational experience of our student-athletes and the 17 intercollegiate teams that represent Penn State Harrisburg with pride as they compete in one of the most competitive Division III conferences in the country, the Capital Athletic Conference.
