E. Philip Wenger, chairman and CEO of Fulton Financial Corp., who received his bachelor of science degree in finance in 1979 from Penn State and his MBA from Penn State Harrisburg in 1987, has been named an Alumni Fellow by the Penn State Alumni Association.
Rick Barger, a 1971 bachelor’s of business administration graduate of Penn State Harrisburg, has received the Philip Philip Mitchell Alumni Service Award from the Penn State Alumni Association for his significant contributions in public service on
behalf of the University.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation will give researcher Dr. Sinisa Dovat $5,000 to mentor a young investigator in pediatric cancer research this summer. The foundation’s Summer Fellow grant provides funding for a medical school or college student to work in a pediatric oncology research lab for one summer.

Penn State University Libraries Short Stories’ “The Other Side” spring 2019 contest winners included 11 student honorees, three faculty/staff honorees, and one local middle school student honoree. Each of the four Libraries Short Stories Editorial Board winners and the People’s Choice winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card. All winners and honorable mentions will have their stories placed on the Libraries’ Short Edition short story dispensers.
Penn State Harrisburg has received a gift of $250,000 from the John Crain Kunkel Foundation to expand the college’s career services office, which will be renamed the John Crain Kunkel Career Center. With these funds, the office will be able to offer a greater range of services and resources to students.
