Penn State Harrisburg to hold 3D printing workshop for middle school teachers

The Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science at Penn State Harrisburg will welcome sixth and seventh grade teachers from 30 public middle schools from throughout Pennsylvania to participate in a free training workshop on teaching mathematical modeling and how to use 3D printing in their lessons, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 22 in the Olmsted Building on campus.

Libraries' new regional short story dispensers double Penn State writers' reach

As Penn State University Libraries launches into its third University-wide Libraries Short Stories writing contest, previous Penn State authors’ winning works now have twice the potential to be printed and read across Pennsylvania, with the University Libraries’ installation of new Short Edition story dispensers at five of its Commonwealth Campus libraries.

Black to discuss psychotherapeutic interactions with religious attitudes

Stephanie Winkeljohn Black, assistant professor of psychology, will present her work on the research topic, “How do religious, secular, and spiritual attitudes effect interactions of psychotherapy trainees with their clients?” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge. The event is part of the Penn State Harrisburg Seminar Series.
