Penn State Harrisburg will hold its fall 2023 commencement ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Giant Center in Hershey. Vice president of emergency services for the Mount Sinai Health System and Penn State alumnus Robin Ferrer will serve as keynote speaker at the ceremony.
During finals week, Penn State University Libraries offers stress-reducing games and activities to help students relax as they study for finals and complete end-of-semester projects.
The Graduate School, in partnership with the Graduate and Professional Student Association and the Graduate School Alumni Society, will host the University’s first Three Minute Thesis competition for the entire graduate student community in the spring 2024 semester.

First-generation students Juan Serrano and Raulybel Perez worked with a committee of Student Affairs staff members to plan the events.

At an event held on Oct. 31, leaders from the Student Philanthropy Network announced that the class of 2024 has voted to create the University Park Undergraduate Association Basic Needs Endowment as their class gift. The fund will provide sustained support for students facing hardships in pursuit of their degree.

Students from Penn State Harrisburg and five other colleges put their sales skills to the test on Oct. 13 and 14 at the inaugural sales competition hosted by the School of Business Administration. The competition, sponsored by D&H Distributing, featured a case competition, elevator pitch competition, networking opportunities and more.
The Center for Holocaust and Jewish Studies at Penn State Harrisburg will host Shira Klein, associate professor of history at Chapman University, at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 25, via webinar. Klein will present a lecture titled “Editing the Holocaust: Distortion of History on Wikipedia.”
