The Capital Players to present two one-act plays by James McClure

The Capital Players, a student club at Penn State Harrisburg, and the college’s School of Humanities will present "Laundry and Bourbon" and "Lonestar," two one-act plays by James McClure, on November 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., November 16 at 2 and 7 p.m., and November 17 at 2 p.m. in the Olmsted Building auditorium.

South Central PA Robotics Competition Nov. 16

Penn State Harrisburg and Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) will join with the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) to host the third South Central PA Robotics Competition on Nov. 16 at 8 a.m. at HACC’s midtown campus in Harrisburg.

Jane Leipold named University Alumni Fellow

Penn State Harrisburg alumna Jane Leipold, of Harrisburg, PA, was recognized with the Penn State Alumni Association’s 2013 Alumni Fellow Award.

She was recognized for her “outstanding professional accomplishments” and given the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow.  The award, established in 1973, is the highest award given by the association.

Severin Fayerman

Severin Fayerman to present “A Survivor’s Story”

Penn State Harrisburg will welcome Severin Fayerman to discuss his inspirational memoir “A Survivor’s Story” on Tuesday, November 5 at noon in the campus library Morrison Gallery. 

The discussion will focus on Fayerman’s journey from the concentration camps at Auschwitz and Buchenwald to the United States and a successful business and civic career. 

Resumania seminar offers expert résumé advice

The Penn State Harrisburg Alumni Society will offer an exclusive opportunity to help students gain résumé advice from area professionals at “Resumania” on Thursday, October 31 at 5 p.m. in the Olmsted Building auditorium.
