Ugur Yucelt, Ph.D.

Associate Professor Emeritus of Marketing, School of Business Administration

Dr. Yucelt joined the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg in August 1984. Previously, he had taught at Norwich University, Northfield, Vt., and Salem State College, Salem, Mass., for 10 years. Dr. Yucelt worked in the Central Bank of Turkey after graduation from Istanbul University, Istanbul. He spent a year in Oslo, Norway, to conduct research on marketing in the EU. Also, he was in Morocco, North Africa, to conduct research on marketing implications on cultural tourism. Most recently, he offered training courses for middle level executives at Banking University, Vietnam.

Dr. Yucelt received the outstanding paper award at The Annual Conference of Administrative Sciences Association in Montreal, Canada, and is included in the Third Edition of the International Businessmen's Who's Who published in Cambridge, England. Dr. Yucelt's publications have appeared in a number of academic journals and proceedings of numerous academic conferences. He has also published several chapters in scholarly books.

Consumer attitudes, cross-cultural studies, satisfaction with medical services, marketing research in year 2000 and beyond, marketing on the internet, and tourism behavior in developing countries.
