The history and absurdity of prejudice and racism will come to the Penn State Harrisburg Tuesday, Sept. 22 in the form of the two-actor play entitled The Black Jew Dialogs.

A Penn State Harrisburg student is one of only eight in the nation to win a scholarship sponsored by the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society.
Alpha sigma Lambda, the national honor society for adult learners, awards the scholarships based on academic achievement, scholarship, leadership activities, and need.

A 5-kilometer “pasta run/walk” to benefit the United Way of the Capital Region comes to Penn State Harrisburg Thursday, Sept. 17.
Sponsored by San Giorgio, the race, entirely on campus and open to both runners and walkers, will kick off at 6:15 p.m. from the front of the Capital Union Building. The course is a combination of grass, trails, and paved surfaces.
The Aquatics Center at Penn State Harrisburg is hosting a Community Swim Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 with all proceeds going to the United Way.

Full scholarships are now available to schoolteachers enrolling in Penn State Harrisburg’s statewide English as a Second Language certificate program.
Supported by a federal grant program entitled ESL SCOPE (Secondary Content Online Preparation Program) and launched a year ago, the certificate program is now available on-line to more effectively meet the needs of pre-kindergarten through grade 12 teachers across the Commonwealth.
