Rod Zink is an Assistant Professor of English and Humanities, and the Coordinator of Composition at Penn State Harrisburg. His primary teaching interests include Composition Studies, New Literacies, Genre Theories, Rhetorical Theory and Practice, as well as Technical, Business, Creative, and “All Things” Writing. His recent and current research projects include workplace writing, technology and grammar pedagogy, collaboration in the creative writing classroom, writing across the curriculum, and plans to pursue future projects exploring academic and public perceptions of writing. Dr. Zink’s most recent publication, “Lending the Muse a Hand: Expanding the Role of Social Constructivism and Collaborative Writing in Creative Writing Pedagogies” is an article in the anthology, Creative Composition: Inspiration and Techniques for Writing Instruction, edited by Danita Berg and Lori A May. Current works under review for publication include “Are We Approaching a Pedagogical Event Horizon in Technical and Business Communication? What a Recent Pilot Study Reveals About Preparing Students for the Realities of Everyday Workplace Writing.”
