Hengameh M. Hosseini is Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration at the School of Public Affairs, Penn State Harrisburg. She has a Ph.D. in Health Promotion (receiving the University’s Best Ph.D. Student Award), a graduate (Masters) degree with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, and an undergraduate degree majoring in Management.  She is also interested in globalization and global aspects of healthcare.   

Since she received her Ph.D. in 2007, she has conducted a great deal of research applying economics and business theories, ethical theory and her knowledge of global issues to healthcare.  She serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Hospital Research, and is a member of the board of advisory of Franklin Publishing Company.  During the last few years, she has been awarded several research grants, and has reviewed numerous papers for academic journals and conferences. She was selected by Scranton Times-Tribune as Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Woman of the year.
