Bio

Azamat Sakiev has received his graduate (Ph.D. and Masters) degree from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship. He also holds a graduate (Masters) degree in International and European Studies from Central European University. His undergraduate studies have been completed at the American University of Central Asia. Prior to joining Penn State Harrisburg he has held faculty positions at the University of Wyoming and University of North Georgia (a senior military college).

 

Research Interests
His research has focused on political leadership, (non)transition, security and governance. He examines entities (such as violent & non-violent groups and crisis prone governments) based on synthesis of individual leadership trait, subject matter expert and meta-data analyses.
