Learning format

The accelerated evening classes meet once a week for seven weeks in a video conference classroom with online learning components. As a participant at either the host or receiving location, you are able to communicate with the instructor and interact with students at the other campuses. By its very definition, accelerated means to go faster. The accelerated learning formats translates to twice as much material covered in ½ the time. Students who engage in accelerated learning must be prepared to dedicate a significate amount of time each week to the course. In a typical 15-week semester, students are expected to spend approximately three hours per week in class and on average, 6 hours per week out of class “work” for a total of 9 hours. For these accelerated classes student can be prepared to commit an average of 18 hours per week. Students should also be prepared to attend all in class session.
