The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs launched a new faculty mentor program in Fall 2025 to assist Penn State Harrisburg faculty in their planning and preparation for promotion from Associate Professor to Professor. This program is designed to assist mid-career faculty in their academic and professional development through working with a mentor who will provide advice, feedback, and networking opportunities, and assistance with dossier preparation for promotion evaluation.
Tenured associate professors at Penn State Harrisburg who are within 1-3 years of formally submitting their dossier for the promotion review are encouraged to apply to this program. Those who may have been in rank for several years are also encouraged to consider this opportunity.
This pilot program for the 2025 -26 Academic Year will be led and executed by the newly established Faculty Mentorship Council (FMC), whose membership includes:
