Graduate students take on special projects benefiting community veterans

Samantha Schaffer and Tyler Patton, students in Penn State Harrisburg’s master of professional accounting program in the School of Business Administration, recently completed projects benefiting local veterans’ organizations. As part of a special topics course, the students assisted two organizations with creating bylaws and gaining tax-exempt statuses from the state and federal governments.

Penn State Harrisburg graduate David Yang lands golden opportunity with L'Oréal

When 30,000 candidates applied for a coveted management training program at L'Oréal, the Fortune 500 cosmetics company, only 60 would be selected. 

One of the 60 was David Hung Yang, a 2015 Penn State Harrisburg graduate with degrees in management and marketing.

Students to benefit from faculty member’s award

True to her commitment to learning, Associate Professor of Finance Oranee Tawatnuntachai will share the funding she earned through a University award with her students.

Tawatnuntachai is one of only three faculty members University-wide to receive the Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and be named a 2010 Penn State Teaching Fellow.
