Penn State Harrisburg will host visiting scholar Dilek Avci until the end of June 2018. Avci is a Ph.D. candidate from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.
She is focusing on developing and delivering a psychoeducational workshop to help international students with the transition to college and to help them learn about new strategies in order to experience an easier cultural, social, psychological, and academic adjustment.
She has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychological counseling and guidance. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the same major.
